The Murano glass artisans experimented with glass and evolved many

unique techniques. ‘Crackle’ is one of them. The molten glass object is

rolled in gold powder and immersed in water causing the glass to crack,

exposing the underlying glass through the gold surface. This gives the

objects a rugged beauty. The body of this Murano glass fish is crafted

using ‘crackle’ technique. The black fins and mouth fixed on the crackle

body looks fantastic. This is a small but marvelous décor article and a

good gift object.
